I’m Felicity Pettiford, but most people online know me as Sydneybuilderchick. My journey started in yr 10, woodwork. Overtime that passion has grown into a career where I’ve been able to refine my skills work on diverse projects and prove that there’s no single type of person who belongs in construction. Working in a male-dominated industry hasn’t always been easy, but I’m proud to show that persistence and hard work can break barriers. Through my platform, I share the ups and downs of life on site while encouraging others especially young women to consider a career in the trades. For me, building isn’t just a job, it’s a way to inspire, empower, and prove that anyone can succeed with the right mindset. If my journey helps even one person feel confident to pick up the tools and chase their dreams then I’ve done my job.
