Kevin Sheedy is one of Australian sport’s most respected and influential figures.  A legendary AFL player and coach, Kevin’s career has spanned over five decades, as a player for Richmond and premierships coach with Essendon. 

Beyond the field, Kevin is widely known for his visionary leadership, innovative thinking, and commitment to community and youth development.  He has championed diversity in sport, played a key role in establishing the AFL’s Anzac Day and Dreamtime matches, and remains a passionate advocate for education, trades, and the role of sport in shaping strong, resilient individuals.
